Bug Description

I tried to install AppFlowy on my windows computer, with the .exe files from the latest releases.

The application is correctly installed but cannot be launched, error message: Impossible to execute the code because MSVCP140.dll, VCRUNTIME140_1.dll, VCRUNTIME140.dll cannot be found.

Even after installing the missing dlls individually, the application still won't launch.

How to Reproduce

Trying to install AppFlowy .exe file on a Windows PC

Expected Behavior

That the Windows installation file works

Operating System

Windows 11 Pro

AppFlowy Version(s)

v0.2.1

Does not reproduce on Microsoft Windows 10 Education checking on Windows 11 now.

Just checked on Windows 11 Home and it works since I can't reproduce I'll need your help @Jean-mirou.

@Jean-mirou what did you do to reinstall the .dlls? It seems like this is a common issue and there's a handful of ways to 'solve' it.

Just in case it helps someone, I solved it to install AppFlowy v0.2.6 by installing Microsoft Visual C++
Following this Microsoft Forum recommandation :
