Description

In Notion and google Docs, you are able to use the ":" keyword to select the emoji you want to put. Not only that, but instead of using your mouse to choose through the different menus with a dysfunctional search bar, you can just use the ":" keyword and type the keywords for your emoji you want ":smile". Even in github you can do this! 😄 👎

Impact

Makes it way easier to add emojis in AppFlowy instead of using the crazy gui accesed thru /emoji. And also, it will make notion more on par with Notion and Obsidian.

Additional Context

  • when you see a list of possible emojis the editor thinks you want to type, you can use arrow keys to scroll through them, you can also use the tab or enter key to put in the emoji.
