Description

Use consistent style for item selection throughout the app
Improve legibility by not using similarly dark background and text colors on items

Example of low contrast between background and text:

Perceived look for color blind users:

Very good contrast and legibility:

Impact

Benefits:

All users benefit from UI consistency by reduced cognitive load
Color blind and visually impaired users benefit from improved legibility
