Description

Hey there,

I'm glad to see the app is improving since I last made an issue here however. The mobile app has trackers in it which is not a good look for an open source app. I know it's google's requirement to get it in the playstore. Which is why I want to know how come there is not a tracker free apk listed on the website & also avaliable at f-droid?

AppflowyTracker
AppflowyTracker1

Impact

Users who are open source & respect privacy can experience the app.

Additional Context

I always recommend the release of a tracker free version first before advertising the google play store version. It's typically ideal to have the tracker free version avaliable on the website first & f-droid second.

Thanks for your request. Sentry is used to monitor crashes, app performance, and run automated tests, which helps us improve our app.

Thanks for letting me know what it's used for. However this should be optional & not mandatory also isn't using sentry sending data to a third party? Also there's the other com.google.android.metadata.moduledependencies.

@DeMoN100 , no data is being sent out from Sentry. To be honest, we haven't started using it, only for automatic tests before each release. The code is open source, so please verify yourself.
We'll see how to make it optional.

If it isn't even being used then why put it in the first place kinda suspicious if you ask me. When will all this be removed & a tracker free version be made & uploaded to f-droid?
