Description
From Discord
Users want to see all spaces for easier navigation on the desktop app (same issue as #6716).
However, some may prefer a more focused view with more space for page structure. We could make this a preference option in settings, allowing users to choose whether to show all spaces in sidebar.
Impact
easier navigation and customization

Would love this option
@Alexander96f commented on GitHub (Sep 25, 2025):
I want to stress how critical this is. In the web version it’s already possible to see and switch between all spaces in the sidebar, but in the desktop app you’re limited to a single space at a time, with no proper folder hierarchy available.
This makes organizing anything beyond small projects very frustrating. No normal workflow keeps all pages/files in one flat list — a visible folder structure (like in the web app) is a fundamental requirement for usability.
It’s surprising that such a basic feature is still missing. Could you please clarify if full folder/space sidebar support in the desktop app is actively planned and when we might expect it?
@sameera commented on GitHub (Dec 8, 2025):
It would be great if the Spaces drop down acted as a multiselect - allowing the selection of multiple spaces (or all) to be always shown on the side bar. That would allow me to be focused on the most critical spaces, while having additional spaces (out of view), for infrequent areas.
