@LucasXu0 This isn't strictly true. Just replacing the binary won't resulting in homebrew-cask users receiving the updated version. The correct course of action would be to also update the version number, otherwise the updated binary won't be served to anybody who had already upgraded.

I understand your concern, but we should at least replace the non-code-signed package first to prevent more users from installing it before we release the updated version.
