Original GitHub issue: https://github.com/AppFlowy-IO/AppFlowy/issues/7977
I was using the Play Store build in offline / local mode and noticed some unwanted background traffic in the firewall log, so I used Obtainium to fetch the Github build in the hope that it might stop, but all of the documents that I created were lost in the process. Several weeks later there was an update and all of my data was lost again. I cannot afford to continue using this app and am now evaluating alternatives. Please provide recovery instructions for Appflowy Android, or state the complete path to the Appflowy database on both builds so I can look in the Android file system to see if anything is there which can be recovered.

@LucasXu0 commented on GitHub (May 26, 2025):
When you switched the Android build from Google Play Console to GitHub, did you uninstall the application? If yes, the local data will be removed when you uninstalled the application.
Can you share your log files? Here's the guide to help us recover your data.
