Description

Due to frequent internet instability, having control over synchronization is essential. Currently, AppFlowy sync occurs automatically, but in unstable network conditions, it’s unclear when data is syncing or when synchronization has successfully completed.

Proposed Solution:
• Add a manual “Sync Now” button so users can initiate a sync when they know the connection is reliable.
• Provide a clear status indicator or notification showing when sync starts, progresses, and completes (or fails), so users always know the up-to-date state of their data.

Impact

Benefits:
• Empowers users with unreliable internet to avoid partial or failed syncs and potential data loss.
• Enhances user trust by making the sync process transparent and giving real-time feedback.
• Aligns with AppFlowy’s focus on privacy, data control, and offline-first workflow by respecting user control over data flow.
