Delete branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

Description
Hello,
I understand that theme customisation options are in the pipeline, but the number one thing that would have a massive impact is simply being able to hide the export button. It is by far the most prominent UI element on the page, and I for one will probably never use it.
Impact
Those who have no interest in exporting notes, at least via the UI.
Additional Context

@Umerjamshaid commented on GitHub (Jan 21, 2026):
I actually disagree! @dmca-glasgow The export button being visible is pretty important:
Data ownership - Shows you're not locked into the platform
Easy to find when needed - Even if you don't use it often, it's there when emergencies happen
Useful for many users - Students backing up notes, professionals archiving work, etc.
I get that it might feel prominent if you never use it, but having core features easily accessible benefits the wider community. Maybe a customizable toolbar could be a middle ground? Just my thoughts! 😊
@dmca-glasgow commented on GitHub (Jan 22, 2026):
Hello,
I'm all about data ownership.. that's how I found this app. I am hoping to experiment with self-hosting the AppFlowy cloud in the coming days. If I implement a backup strategy, it will likely be on the server side rather than in the UI.
I totally understand that this is the USP of this project over some others.
I like to go for the Zen approach.. reduce noise to the bare features I need, which in this case is just writing and organising notes.
Not asking to remove the export feature, just the ability to hide the button. Perhaps move it into the "3 dots" menu, or where I'd naturally look for it which is under File in the main menu.
Thanks.
@Umerjamshaid commented on GitHub (Jan 22, 2026):
Got it — you’re not asking to remove it, just to hide it for a cleaner workspace. That makes sense.
Moving it to the three-dots or File menu sounds reasonable.
UI customization like this would be helpful for many users.
Hope the devs consider it, and good luck with the self-hosting setup.🫡🫡
