Are databases planned at all? I mean, thats basically the main-feature about notion. Nothing about that in the trello (sorry, but lol about that) or even in the issue-tracker here. I mean, its basically the feature that makes notion or AnyType (thats the competitor to Notion right now, they will go open source later).

Right now appflowy is just another random notes app. Or - did i miss something crucial? :)

Hi Thanks for your feedback. I share your opinion that DB is a major feature that makes Notion great. We've incorporated it in our roadmap under different acronyms, which are "Grid" and "Kanban". We plan to develop "Grid" first, then "Kanban".

Just wanted to mention when you do start planning on implementing a DB I would suggest a NoSQL db since it's usually easier to set up, faster to look up objects, and I think usually cheaper. I would recommend using GCPs Firestore, super easy to work with and fairly cheap. DynamoDB and DocumentDB are both great as well. Cloud guru has a nice comparison on DBs https://acloudguru.com/blog/engineering/aws-vs-azure-vs-gcp-cloud-comparison-databases

Why pay at all? And i personally would not prefer to use anything from google or amazon for an app like this. Maybe i'm misunderstanding something, but for sure nothing online "in the cloud". Sorry, if i'm interpreting wrong, what you said.
