Bug Description

Clicking on the name of a page expands all child pages. It was not like that in the past. This has been annoying as I have to select the page I want and every time click to collapse everything. In the past, child pages were expanded only if we clicked on the arrow on the main page.

How to Reproduce

  1. create a page
  2. create a subpage
  3. collapse the page
  4. now click on the name of the page and it will expand the subpage

Expected Behavior

Pages used to expand only if we clicked on the arrow. This is the behavior that makes sense in my view. If i click in the name of the page it should not be expanded, but only opened.

Operating System

Linux Mint 21.2

AppFlowy Version(s)

0.9.3

@LucasXu0 commented on GitHub (Jul 2, 2025):

This behavior is intentional, and the auto-expand feature was introduced quite a long time ago. @Rasterisko, may I know which version you upgraded from?

The reason we added it is that when you open a page, you can easily see the subpages inside it without needing to click the expand button again.
